| | remote reception site | | This is my first post as a bride-to-be. I've been hungrily searching the Web for the right reception spot: within 30-40 minutes of Burlington, 150 people, views, privacy, rustic (barn, etc.), no early nights. The last part seems to be the hardest! Anyone know of a site that won't feel the need to kick us out right at midnight? We'll be having a traditional Irish band, so who knows when the dancing will finish up. Thanks, and congratulations and good luck to you all. |

| | Re: remote reception site | | Hi Amy, I'm a wedding photographer out of Warren, VT near Sugarbush and though I haven't yet created a picture story at the The Webster Barn at Sterling Meadows Farm in Hyde Park, VT yet - I long to do so. As indicated on their site, you have the use of the farm "...into the wee hours..." - there site is www.websterbarn.com & mine is www.spencerleonard.com |

| | Re: remote reception site | | I absolutely agree with Spencer, we looked at it and it is a fantastic site for a party all night long. The flip side of it is that you have to create your wedding from scratch, but if you have the money to do so the possibilites are endless. We also looked at Sleepy Hollow in Richmond. 150 is tight there but it's worth looking at. First i would look on their website, i can't remember if they have time limits. If you haven't found a photographer yet I met with Spencer and saw his work, he does an amazing job.
I found the local VT board on the knot, although I never post on it i've found it helpful to read through the message board on topics i need help on. |
