Gail Gras-Morin of Thyme Tables Catering suggests skipping the lids for glass jars at candy bars. "Leave everything open so it's easy for guest to see and have access to the candies," she says. Without lids, it's easier for guests to grab the scoop and fill their box or bag with goodies.

For a candy bar with a whimsical look, scour flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales in the months prior to your wedding. You may just find some great deals on apothecary jars or other unique glass containers.
